With the show on TV like Miami Ink and LA Ink have really brought the tattoo industry to the front of the stage. With these shows and the celebrities wearing tattoos, they are becoming quite popular. You see people today sporting tribal tattoos, back tattoos, dolphin tattoos that just a few years ago it would have been unheard of. But not anymore. Tattoos and the art of tattooing have become very popular.
There are quite a few celebrities that are wearing tattoos now. One of the bigger stars of today is Angelina Jolie who wears tattoos on her beautiful body. People have seen hear wear the Thai Tiger, Latin verses have been worn on her arm and a tribal dragon. She has also had some tattoos on even her shoulder.
One of the first type of celebrities that wore tattoos were the rock stars. Back in the sixties there was Janis Joplin. The king of tattooing Lyle Tuttle was the one who did the tattoos on her. There are many band members who have tattoos on their bodies. There are so many it is hard to find a place to start. Bands like Rush, Cheap Trick and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are just a few. Then there are people like 50 cent, Justin Timberlake and Pharrel who are sporting tattoos today. Then you have the actors like Johnny Depp who has tattoos on his arms. The thing is there have been many fans that have done exactly like him.
The celebrities and the celebrity tattoo has brought the tattooing industry to a new light. Back years ago, the only ones to have tattoos were bikers and their babes, but not today. With all the show that are on TV and the celebrities wearing tattoos, they are here to stay. With all that is going on with the new generation, tattoos are only going to gain popularity for many years to come.
